Can a pregnant woman have false nails acrylic or in fills done?

Just had mine done yesterday and I'm almost at 35 weeks. My real nails did improve but still like the look of the acrylics.Can a pregnant woman have false nails acrylic or in fills done?

yes but in my experience of pregnancy you dont need them becasue your nails are beautiful when your pregnant at least mine were!

yes, i asked this question, it is ok to do, no chemicals are absorbed by the baby, they dont advise it as you're body is changing and your nails are often softer. thats what i was told. i had them done about 6 weeks ago, im fine and the baby is fine.

yeah....but i personally would not be able to sit there and smell that nasty smell of the nail salon while pregnant......

can't think of any reasons not to during pregnancy but am not an expert - read somewhere recently that the prob with nail varnish/ false nails is the birth if you have a c section, docs need to be able to see your natural nail bed colour in case your blood flow is affected - seems daft if they're using blood pressure monitors but maybe safest not to near your due date? any medics out there who understand it better?
