Why are my false nails taking so long to melt in acetone....?

it's been almost an hour!!!!Why are my false nails taking so long to melt in acetone....?

Here is my reply:-





Start by filing the nails down as much as possible, then file the actual face of the artificial nail so it is rough.





Then get a bowl of warm water (not boiling but hot), then fill a smaller (acetone friendly) bowl with acetone and float this bowl in the bowl of warm water.





Soak your nails in the acetone in the smaller bowl for about 10 mins (the heat from the warm water will speed up the chemical process). Then remove and using a nail file gentle file away the acrylic/silk. If there is still lot of the product left on your nail soak your nails for a further 10 mins.





After you have removed all the artificial nail, wash your hands and apply lots of hand cream as acetone is very drying to the skin.Why are my false nails taking so long to melt in acetone....?
100% acetone will slowly melt the PMMA that is ';acrylic.'; The nail polish remover acetone is diluted so that it doesn't dry your skin out as much.





After you are done with them, make sure you moisturize them with olive oil or vaseline.
Yeahh, Just play around with them and it will help alot.


Last time I got mine done mine did the same thing.


Eventually I cut the short and let them soak or whatev.





And once they were moist I just popped em' off.


But pull from the cuticle of your nail.


It doesn't hurt.


Or atleast not me.

They do seem to take ages, but don't be tempted to tear at them to get them off, i did that and ended up pulling part of my own nail off, it took ages for it to get better again, it was so sore for weeks..
Are you using PURE acetone?


it takes quite a while if youre just using polish remover with acetone in it.
well theyre not gunna melt...only the glue melts so theyre eaier to come off. they should come off real easy now
DONT PULL THEM OFF!!!


go to a drugstore and get an artificial nail remover soak! Dont ruin your nails!
just pull it off it might hurt but start playing with it and pop it'll fall offf
its the glue that melts take your wrinkled fingers out the bowl and pull them gently off lol
because they don't work on acrylic nails
take more of it O_O
