Please help false nail glue on the settee?

hi guys ,


can anyone me , the missus was putting her false nails on last night %26amp; got glue on the settee( Upholstery not leather), anyone got any ideas to remove it ??Please help false nail glue on the settee?
TRY USING NAIL POLISH REMOVER OR ACETONE BUT FIRST!!!!!!!!!! TRY IT ON A HIDDEN AREA OF THE COUCH FIRST TO SEE IF ANY DISCOLORATION APPEARSPlease help false nail glue on the settee?
a bit of cloth then iron over it, the glue should then transfer to the cloth... i do hope it works for you, oh you may need to do this a few times and dont rub just dab
I find insurance companies know best , if you haven't got insurance i suggest your wife stops this vanity thing and purchases some insurance .
you could put ice cubes on it or chewing gum
From experience, the glue they use for false nails is SuperGlue (often 'borrowed' my missuses nail glue...as superglue!!!) SuperGlue is very good glue, in a dry environment, but rubbish in damp, it breaks down. So, try leaving damp sponge overnight or longer... Otherwise, there are Superglue removers on the market.
If the glue is non acetate glue it can be removed with acetone.





If its acetate dab white spirit on the wrong sid of the upholstrery do not use acetone in that case.
Why don't you just cover your entire couch in glue? It might be pricey, but it'll look great!
I would have thought the solvent used for taking the nails off again should work,try a wee bit of it on the back of one of the cushions first to make sure it doesnt take the dye out of the sofa.
Buy a new settee!

You could try nail varnish remover, but test it on a bit of the settee that is out of sight first. A workmate got nail glue on her clothes and this did work but took some rubbing.
i would suggest putting the cover in the freezer for an hour of so .. the glue will harden ... and then you can pick it off ... failing that .. ice in a bag .. and then PICK IT OFF !
