Ladies : those of you that have false nails what is the best sort to have?

acrylic gel etc and what is the difference, and ive been looking on ebay and there are hundreds of different sorts and i havnt got a clue really, i mean you can get half nail tips of full nail tips, im confused what are half tips,Ladies : those of you that have false nails what is the best sort to have?
Gel and acrylic are the same. Gel is a more ply-able form of acrylic. A half tip is used so that you can expose the more of the natural nail to apply the product to. A full tip covers all of the nail and is intended to be used as a temporary thing. You should have your nails done professional so that you can watch how its applied. Once you see how its done you won't want to do it yourself. You will not save any time or money doing it yourself. Its more costly because you will need various tools and products. I do my own nails because I am a nail tech and a very picky one at that so I have tons of products that I use. You can only get professional nail products if you are a license nail tech. What you buy on the internet and in drug stores are a cheap imitation. Oh and don't go to your neighborhood discount salon, you know the one you see on every street corner, you will get what you pay for and the danger of infection. Go to a reputable salon you are familiar with or ask friends and family.Ladies : those of you that have false nails what is the best sort to have?
I have gel nails and they aren't fake really, it's just a gel solution over my real nails to give them a glossier look, and to make them less breakable. Gel is supposed to be healthier for your nails than acrylic. I would recommend that you go and get your first set at a nail salon so that it looks tasteful. Tips are like a half of nail that are attached to the top of your real nail. In the salons they coat it with acrylic or gel to make the nails more durable, otherwise if you bump your finger the tip could just pop off.
Acrylics, last longer and are more hardwearing but are tougher on the natural nail. They are tips which are glued to your natural nail and can be full nail or half nail.





Gels are powders which are made up with liquid and painted on to your nails, they cant be as long as acrylics these are sealed using UV light. These are much better for your natural nails and come in diff colours.





You shouldnt attempt to carry out any kind of nail treatment without professional training though as you could end up seriously damaging yours or someone elses nails.!





Go to a salon for a proper assessment and the nail tech should tell you whats best for you...

It depends on the look of the nail that you want. Gels are awesome because they can come already colored so your color you pick lasts until the nails are taken off and it stays really shiny like it is still wet. Gels are usually a little more expensive though, the times I've had them. Half tips are glue on nails that just get glued to the tip, instead of covering the whole nail. Some great brands are OPI, and Creative.
If your nails are thin and brittle you may want to let them grow a little and get the acrylic wrap on top of them which makes it last longer.





But if you have strong and healthy nails allow them to grow and just get a simple cheap manicure.





The plastic tips and the nail glue that they use damage your natural nails.
do it the non-lazy way and just grow your nails?

and then just use nail varnish.





or just go to boots and choose a set of fake nails.
