Do i ask for acrylic tips? I would also like them to paint a design on them. Thanks!I am planning to get false nails, but I am not sure what I ask for. Do i ask for acrylic tips?
Hey im a Nail Technician and what you want is a full set of acrylic extensions! Acrylic is the strongest extension you can get but acrylic is what damages your nails the most underneath! there are 2 type of tips Clear tip and white tips. White tips are the best to have as they dont need to be filed into the real nail, clear tips have to be filed into the nail so that the line of the tip is visiable when the acrylic is placed on top, when your technician files the tip your natual nail will also be filed down, leaving them weak and thin. acrylic aslo drys out your nail!
A much nicer system is Gel Nails there not as strong but they are shinier.
There is also fibre glass and silk which are much kinder to the natural nail plate.
and you want Nail Art, that will look lovely with white tips.
Make sure that you want these nails on as your natual nail will weaken and for a while after you have had them off your nail may be sore, just make sure you go to a Good Nail Technician that knows what they are doing :D
p.s Dont go to a ';Nails 4 u'; where i work at NYC Nails i have clients coming in and complaining about that place because they use electrical files and file down your real nail, which this shouldnt be done!
Also for when you take off the extensions, invest in some O.P.I Nail Envy, this is nail strengthener, it a wheat protein and treats your nail, also this works in conjunction with the O.P.I Avoplex Cuticle Oil - just rub it into your cuticles everyday! you dont have to get O.P.I but this the top nail range worldwide and really does work i swear by it, its a god send! :D Xx
Hope iv help you, quite a long answer but hope some of it is of use to you! :D XxI am planning to get false nails, but I am not sure what I ask for. Do i ask for acrylic tips?
I just told them I wanted a french manicure and they knew what I meant. Just ask them for what you want and they'll do it.
Talk to them about what you want. I had a small pattern put on my wedding finger nail with diamonds for my wedding.
It was LUSH...cost a bit like, so be prepared to pay more :D
Acrylic tips are a really nice way of getting your nails done, if you are going to a salon that is. If you'd like to do it at home, you can buy packs of false nails with glue to do yourself as I'm sure you'll know. My mum actually learned to do Acrylic nails herself and I'm really lucky to have her. She bought a kit, which cost about 拢50.00 from Argos and it included everything she needed. It's definately worth a look in.
Back to the subject though, it is best to ask for acrylic tips and designs can be painted on them with great ease.
I'm hoping this has helped!
Good luck :]

depends on what design you like. there are frorals, shapes,
faces of some celebreties, insects, shells and other designs
ask for acrylic nails, when they have grown out, thats when you go and just ask for the tips or the 'fill'.
If you explain it, then they will know what you mean anyway
Yeah, just say that you want acrylic nails put on and ask them to put a design on them....
Ask for some ideas and details...rather than just ask for a specific type...
AHHHHHHH! No dont get fake nails! Once you put them on they make your nails thin. When I mean thin I mean like paper thin. Then you have to keep up the prosses of aplying acrylics so that your nails wont break. But if you do decide to get them done, ask for acrylics.
