How long until false nails stop hurting?!?

I got my nails done yesterday at lunchtime (acrylic) for the first time and they are still hurting! Is this right?

While I'm here...Also I don't like the shape of them (too square) do i have to get them to change the shape or can i use a normal nail file on them? How long until false nails stop hurting?!?
They'll probably hurt for a couple of days! Don't worry, it's totally normal. Mine use to do the same thing... Too square? Wait until you have to get them filled and have the girl/guy reshape them for you. But, I would probably just get rid of them. I know they look really nice, but they're not good for your actual nails. Try getting manicures instead and they should hopefully make your natural nails look better. How long until false nails stop hurting?!?
I say they should stop feeling sore by today. It may just be from the pressure or that you arent used to them. They also may have filed too hard with the drill.

If you dont like the shape you should go back and ask them to fix them. They should stand behind their work and should have no problem fixing it up for you. :)
Forever, you have an infection in your nails. You're prolly going to have to get your hands removed in order to stop the pain.
you can use a normal file...but really they shouldn't be ';hurting';??? MAYBE a little bit sore but it should be gone by now.
I've had it done twice and they didn't hurt at all. You can file them yourself, but use a metal file not an emery board.
