How do I fix a broken finger nail? (Proper nail not false)?

I've just broken my fingernail horizontally about halfway down the nail. I can't file it off because it is too low down and I don't want it to keep catching on things. Could I use super glue? Don't have nail glue and can't buy any until tomorrow. How do I fix a broken finger nail? (Proper nail not false)?
Cut the gauze part of a tea bag to the size of your fingernail. Apply nail glue or clear nail polish to your natural nail, stick the piece of teabag to the nail glue/polish with a toothpick and smooth out. Wait to dry and then file the edge so that it is smooth with your natural nail. Apply a coat of clear nail polish and then a coat of colour to hide your fix-it job. It should take a week or two to grow it out and then remove with nail polish remover. How do I fix a broken finger nail? (Proper nail not false)?
I suggest keeping the nail covered with a Band-Aid. This will keep it in one place, thus allowing it to heal easily and not allowing it to catch on things.
Yes my family have always used super glue be careful though apply it with a toothpick so it doesn't pour on your skin.Any surplus glue can then be rubbed away with a nail file.
