Do false nails ruin your real fingernails?

I know they ruin the nail they are built on, but do they wreck the way your nail grows in years to come? Assuming you don't get any fungal infections...Do false nails ruin your real fingernails?

Yes, sometimes they do. However you can reverse that process by obtaining some garlic nail treatment and applying it to the inside of the nail, not the outer for the acrylic will be on the false nail making it futile to try to treat your nails that way.
I got into the acryic nail thing when i was 15 and it continued through 18y/o.





At first, the damage wasnt too bad but there were many cases of... i have no money and cant do them again for a month and half and your nails start ripping off and might as well take all of them off myself, etc...





well... i swore off of those nasty things... my nails stopped growing, they began peeling, breaking, and are like paper.





Its taken about a year or so but they are looking normal now.





If you are not going to commit to doing them every 2 weeks religiously... good luck. And if you have weak nails as it is... i wouldnt suggest it. I would take care of my natural nails... cheaper and they will look much nicer.

yeah they make your nails brittle, but they can also be done properly and don't do TOO MUCH damage, but obviously the less damage, the more expensive, and never go to an asian nail bar please, they use carcinogenic chemicals!!!! if they're wearing a mask, and you aren't, get the hell out of there!!
