Ok so i have really short nails cus i bite them all the time i have tried to stop before but i just can't so... how long do my nails have to be to be able to apply false nails?

your nails can be short.it really doesnt matter how long your nails are.as long as your nails arent to where the meat out of your finger is showing,(disgusting i know)then your good.fake nails are good and cheaper right??.loll.oh and make sure when you put them on,dont use too much glue,it shows ans try to make them look real.thats what i do.FALSE NAILS... As lonng as you have nails, you can apply false nails. Especially if you get them done professionally! But if they are a little bit on the long side (1/2 of a cm above the nail bed) then they will look even better. They are false nails so they will extend your nail length now, and look nice.
Ok i don't recommend fake nail because they mess up your nails.But my nails were short too and they never grew for years but i started putting nail polish on them all the time and it grew so much and they look fake but its so long thats why.But if you want to put fake nails thats your decision.Or if you dont theres a liquid that makes your nails grow 2-4 days.
umm they don't have to be that long probably just your usual length cuz your nails grow and if they were already too long then you couldn't cut it

It can take a year to 3 to 4 years to get them strong again. As a qualify beauty therapist I should know as it has taken 3 years for my nails to recover from fake nails. I prefer real nails that are short or long and a lot nicer to do manicures and pedicures and also doing french.on
I am tempted to say that real nails are more comfortable to deal with. Fake nails spoil your nails in the long run only when you wear them continuously. I used to wear them 3 months at a go and then take them off for at least 2 months running. I never leave them on like what some people do for a year or more.
But who gives a hell about fake nails now anyway. I am thinking of new business ventures worth £1m and more. The classy rich guys are even put off with a woman who wears them. So that's just a tip for you babes.

Does anyone know a good internet site for buying false stick on nails. All the ones I have seen have been for ';tips';. Its the whole nail that I want. Just had gel nails done last week and they are off already. Used the false ones before but the place I used to get them doesnt do them anymore. ThanksFalse Nails????
i usually buy mine from boots, the nailine ones are really good the glue is dead strong and they do different lengths and shapes as well as colours and some with stones on.
i took mine off yesterday after 10 days, the only reason for this was because of nail regrowth.

I'm not a fan of false nails. I wore them once. They looked amazing but they wouldn't come off. They made my nails all soft and dented where I tried to lever them off. It took a year for them to recover.
i would never use false nails. if you get tips, by the right people they last for AGES ( 4-6 weeks ) and never come off, and you only have to have in fills. so naturel as well. i live in the UK, and this shopping centre called the Galleries, theres some amazing chinese people who do them for 拢25.00. go and get tips, seriously, they dont come off. the last time i wanted mine off i had to pay the a fiver and it took 40 mins.
If I'd tried them all and found that none were suitable, I'd focus on growing my healthiest natural nails. Eat a well balanced diet, and keep your nails and cuticles well moisturized for the best results. Good luck!

i recently got my nail done in a beauty salon and the only day i have off to have them infilled the salon do not have any appointments left on that day does anyone know if i can go to a different salon and get them infilled or will i have to pay for a brand new set ?False nails?
I think you should just check your local yellow pages and call around and ask them yourself to know for sure. But I am sure that if you go to another salon they will still only charge you to get them filled and not make you pay for another set, but call around different salons just in case and if they say that they'll do it make sure that they are available the day you need them done.False nails?

I wouldn't just pick any salon to get them filled. You said you had to make an appointment for your nails. This is a good thing. The very last place you want to get your nails done is at some strip, or mall salon, where appointments are not needed. Usually these are the very worst places to get your nails done. All fills are not created equal! It depends on the products used, and the skill level of the tech. I would say to stick with the salon you had them done at. Just avoid the no appointment, assembly line, major language barrier type of places (like those awful 'salons' they have in WalMart!! Very bad...) They are the worst, by far...
Take them off, they ruin your nails, get a good strong nail polish and give yourself a manicure once a week, i am trained to do nail extentions and do not recomend them

i cant wear gel or acrylic nails, evrytime i have them put on the tops of my fingers * all around the nail become swollen, break open %26amp; begin to weep %26amp; get very sore, i have come to the conclusion that it is something to do with the glue that it is used %26amp; was wonderin if any body knew of a natural glue or something similar that could be used instead coz i cant grow my own nails to a decent length %26amp; would love to have fancy nails!!False nails?
it dosnt sound like the glue , it sounds as though when they are filing away at your nails before they apply the false tips they are filing a bit to close to the skin , they do exactly the same to me , what i tend to do if i dont get round to getting them done properly is use good quality false nails that you buy in the shops , n buying the proper glue (not the glue that comes with the nails ) they last ages n a much kinder to your skin then them filing away and leaving your skin raw . as for natural glue i dont think they would be any strong enough to keep the tips on ,False nails?

Also think about trying to grow your nails naturally. I know how difficult this is as I keep trying myself and after 6 months they are beginning to get into good condition. It is better to keep them short by clipping them when you first start as this will strengthen the nail, and keep the cuticles, removing them makes the nail weaker as it stops them getting the essential oils your nails need. Plus if your real nails are a little longer when you do have false ones done they won't be so close to your skin.

It is, in my opinion a huge marketing scam. Weight loss, dieting, plastic surgery, hair color, makeup, etc... Everytime you turn on the TV and even the radio, one of these companies has a commercial about improving yourself. They attempt to make people feel lousy about themselves and in return these people go and spend their hard earned money making these companies billions of dollars. Its a mass marketing scam that unfortunately, works.
Society tells them that that is the way they are supposed to be. Television and mass media as pervaded our lives and we now believe whatever MTV, E!, Bravo and whatever other television or internet outlet or beauty magazine tells us is true. So, therefore, you get this unilateral belief by Americans of what beauty is... Doesn't Jessica Simpson look good? To hell with intelligence... SHE LOOKS GOOD. Who needs a Stanford education when you got a dress on made by Gucci. Even though they probably cost about the same now.
